Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how WoofCam ("we", "us", "the app") handles information when you use the app. WoofCam is built to be simple and respectful of your privacy: it turns a spare phone into a pet camera, and lets you view the stream from another device.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and password (encrypted), used to create and access your WoofCam account.
- Device information: basic technical data (device model, OS version, app version) used to keep the app stable and compatible with old devices.
- Camera and microphone access: required on the "camera" device to capture live video and, if you enable it, sound for motion & sound detection alerts (Premium).
How your video stream is handled
The live video feed is streamed from your camera device to your viewing device so you can watch your pet in real time. WoofCam does not permanently store your video stream on our servers. If you use the Premium local recording feature, recordings are saved directly on your own device's storage — not uploaded to WoofCam's servers.

Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your video streams with third parties. Limited technical data may be processed by trusted infrastructure providers strictly to operate the app (e.g. hosting, authentication).
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. See our Delete My Data page for details, or contact us using the information below.
Children's privacy
WoofCam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
